A gas purification panel removes impurities from carrier gas, fuel gas, and oxidant line. These impurities include: Moisture, CO, CO2, Hydrocarbon, Oxygen. 

Gas purification panels can contain filters that:

• Remove moisture: Use regenerable silica gel and molecular sieves filters to remove moisture from zero air, N2, and H2. The color changes to indicate the presence of moisture.
• Remove hydrocarbons: Use activated charcoal filters to remove hydrocarbons from air and hydrogen.
• Remove oxygen: Use oxytrap filters to remove oxygen from carrier gas lines. 

Gas purification panels can also monitor air quality. Gas contaminants can impact the sensitivity and accuracy of GC's, and can also harm the column.
